The investigation continues to track down the killers of the attack and Commissioner Scalise is discouraged. One of the killers is identified as a person who had been dead for two years. A lady who runs a bar is the victim of extortion. Angela learns that Letizia, a woman who works with her at the clinic, has a violent husband who mistreats her and tries to convince the woman to file a complaint: initially Letizia does not accept her friend's help and cannot accept reality. Later, however, she changes her mind and decides to leave her husband.

Her task will consist of trying to learn about all of Macri's illicit activities, to have the possibility of infiltrating and acting undisturbed in order to find Vinci. Adriano, Luca's partner, finds work in a debt collection company, but soon discovers that his new colleagues are used to intimidation and violence to convince debtors to pay; so he decides to file a complaint with the police.
