The Cesaronis

When Lucia and Giulio, former lovers, reunite after years, sparks fly and a new, chaotic extended family is born in the heart of Garbatella. Between secret loves, teenage jealousies, long-standing friendships, and everyday hassles, the Cesaronis learn to know, love, and survive under the same roof.

The second season delves into the dynamics of the extended family. Marco and Eva navigate their secret love amidst countless difficulties, facing jealousy and attempts at separation. Lucia feels increasingly suffocated by the Cesaronis' intrusiveness, while Giulio tries to keep the family together. New relationships are explored, and the children grow up, facing important choices about friendship and romance.

In the third season of the series, the Cesaroni brothers will face problems to solve with their usual wisdom and cheerfulness, but also pranks, challenges, and bets. Stefania and Lucia, close friends at school and in life, will also experience a thousand adventures, such as when they end up competing to determine who has the better husband, and they will do anything to win.

Following the birth of Marco and Eva's baby girl, season four flashes forward a year and a half. Many things have changed in Garbatella: Marco and Eva have left for a tour, Cesare and Pamela are about to get married, and Lucia has started working in a museum in Venice, a development that doesn't please Giulio.

The fifth season of the series opens with Giulio and Mimmo returning from vacation, where they meet Lucia, who's in Rome for an art exhibition. Rudi also returns to Garbatella, having left for the summer to visit some cities alone, hoping to forget Miriam. Marco also returns, but, not wanting to live at home, he stays with an old friend.

In the sixth season, Giulio is the undisputed protagonist, and all the other stories unfold around him. Lucia temporarily moves to New York to help Eva with little Marta, and Giulio, with the arrival of the other Cesaroni siblings, finds himself alone managing a family that's bigger than ever.

In Garbatella, the Cesaronis start over, reconnecting with new relationships and old scores. Giulio holds together the house and the wine shop, amidst debts and a new business partner. Marco juggles Virginia, little Adriano, and Marta's return. Mimmo makes his debut at school as a special education teacher, while Rudi works as a janitor. Between responsibilities and mistakes, they learn to start over.
