A government official arranges prison breaks as a sideline, but the police steps in and his gang is caught.
Serving a jail sentence for a crime he didn't commit, Paul Langley makes several attempts to escape from prison, in order to clear his name. He also has other problems, his wife is about to go into labor with their first baby.
When Audrey leaves prison after being framed for jewel theft, she asks stepsister Dora for shelter. Dora takes Audrey to a party hosted hosted by Lacey, her boyfriend. Lacey complains about his neighbor, the mysterious Mr. Malpas, who makes strange noises all night and is never seen.
