After Enjin's associate Zakuro kidnaps Rin in the middle of the night, Hime chases her down for a one-on-one battle. Though Hime easily overpowers Zakuro, Zakuro uses her necromancy powers to control Rin like a puppet and summons a massive, powerful spirit to fight. The conflict is eventually halted when a recovering Rin steps in between them, remembering the times Zakuro saved and befriended her in the past. Zakuro is moved to relent, but Enjin's unearthly power intervenes and renews the threat.

Zakuro takes Rin hostage and heads into the town to cause chaos, but discovers the residents have already been evacuated. The members of the Hiizumi Life Counseling Office—including Ao, Akina, Hime, Kyousuke, and Kotoha—coordinate a clever rescue. Using their teamwork, they help Akina apply his demon-cleansing tuning power to free Zakuro from her evil aura. Defeated but freed from corruption, Zakuro returns to her happy self and happily joins the rest of the crew to live in the town.
